"We were lucky enough to hire Callie for our engagement session and DC wedding (...okay Arlington wedding...). Personally, I was a bit nervous our Catholic wedding in a concrete jungle wouldn't be as adventurous compared to some of Callie's portfolio. Callie travels the world as a wedding photographer and is known for the breathtaking backdrops and glamorous wedding shots. Ours needed a bit of creativity to find something other than sidewalks full of tourists (which she’ll just edit out, cause she’s that good..). Ahead of our engagement sessions Callie (not from the DC area) found and suggested a beautiful location for our session. During our first session together, she made us feel comfortable and relaxed and showed us exactly how to pose. Going into our wedding day, we were basically pros (highly recommend an engagement session if you can!)
Heading into our wedding, Callie was responsive, flexible (beyond words…keep reading) and easy going. She knew exactly what she was doing, provided her advice, and encouraged us get the photos WE wanted. Callie’s photos speak for themselves, but what a photo won’t tell you about Callie is that she truly cares about capturing her clients’ special day. When Callie’s flight was canceled due to weather in the Midwest, Callie packed a car and drove the 1,600 miles to make it in time for our day (bless her heart for not telling me until she made it!!!!!!!). Day of, Callie ran the [photo] show and made things so stress-free for us. We were concerned about how much time we had to take photos before the reception, Callie assured me we’d get the shots even if we only had 10 mins…and that she did!!
I literally could not imagine working with anyone else. Her prices are extremely competitive, especially for the area I live in and her work is incomparable. She’ll work around YOUR vision and you will not be disappointed in the photos and experience you get!"
Callie and her team are amazing! I absolutely hate taking pictures, but she is so great at capturing those perfect moments and making you feel at ease. Also, her and her team are so caring and are there to make sure that you all are okay the day of your wedding. Honestly, I’ve been trying to think of any reason that I need pictures in the future just so I can have her take more photos of us haha. She is the perfect wedding photographer!
I still remember the first photo I ever saw by Callie Riesling Photography. I was scrolling through Facebook several years ago, when I came across a picture of a bride standing in the loft of a red barn with her veil beautifully flying out of the window. From that moment on I've followed Callie Riesling Photography and been in love with her work. When my (now) husband, Chris, and I got engaged a few years later, I contacted Callie right away. Our situation was a bit unique...we dreamed of eloping in Ireland! When I emailed Callie, she was just about as excited as we were about the idea of eloping in Ireland! She WANTED to come with us! She was as excited about coming to Ireland with us as we were to get married in Ireland! I knew from that first red barn picture that Callie was talented, but through working with her I realized that there was so much more to her than just raw talent. Callie is one of the sweetest, kindest people I have ever met . She has a way of making you comfortable during the sessions and capturing your personality and love for each other in such an incredibly genuine way. I had never taken professional photos before our engagement shoot and I was very worried that I would look incredibly awkward. That wasn't the case at all! I was blown away by the beautiful moments that Callie was able to capture. Fast forward to Irleand and our elopement and everything was perfection. It was just us, the officiant, and Callie. Callie was a great support on our wedding day...she even helped me get ready and we finished the day having dinner together at a local Irish pub! The day was one we will remember forever and Callie played a pivotal role. The next morning, Chris and I woke up sick and Callie stopped by our Air BnB to drop off some American medicine for us! Talk about truly caring about your clients! I could go on forever (looks like I already have 🤣). Just know this, hiring Callie Riesling Photography was the BEST decision we made for our wedding day (besides marrying each other. Haha). I can confidently say that I would happily pay Callie twice as much as we did to receive the excellent customer service and beautiful photos she provided! You will not regret hiring Callie and you'll gain so much more than just a run-of-the-mill photographer!
Callie is awesome. Period. Not just because her photos are absolutely unreal but because she goes the extra mile with everything. Driving to Mississippi from Colorado for our engagement photos? Not a problem. Coming to Vail and going up into the mountains so we could have the most romantic “I do” days before Christmas? Not a problem. Can’t wait for her to take maternity pictures someday! 😉
I'm super picky when it comes to photos, but Callie is not only patient, but assures me with the amount of photos she takes, there will be enough that I will LOVE! (I don't doubt her for a second- she's that good!) When it comes to your special day and events leading up, it can be hard not to feel like a ball of stress. However, Callie brings light to everything (not just the pictures :D) and does whatever she can to help step in with the big day. If I could give her 6 stars I would...
We are SO happy with Callie. From the beginning, I knew she was the photographer we wanted to work with. But we did due diligence and got quotes from 10+ other photographers. Callie had worked at our venue a lot (Crooked Willow Farms) so that was super helpful too. Our adventure engagement shoot was STUNNING, she was able to incorporate 3 types of pictures into two hours (hunting, fishing, camping) and they were perfect for us. Then comes our wedding day and we have a torrential downpour and 45 minute delay, and Callie stepped UP in all ways possible (way more than just a photographer). She worked as a coordinator, carrying my train & veil, communicating with groom & family, etc. Our coordinator was great, don't get me wrong, but will everything that was going wrong she needed help. And Callie was there to do it! We were super rushed due to the delay so I did step in and rush through family pictures (probably a mistake on my part) but she was super willing to work with us for whatever we needed. We've only received 5 pictures (sneak peek) but are already super happy with them! We are SO excited to get all of the pictures back. We went with the 8 hour package and I'm super happy we did, I think the getting ready pictures then all the reception pictures will be super fun. The entire wedding planning process Callie was helpful with recommendations, emails, etc. Keep in mind she is BUSY AF so she may not respond right away, but that's a good sign! People are hiring her! She is super happy & positive to be around, very talkative & likeable, and took charge when she needed to. Overall we would 100% choose her again.
Working with Callie was an absolute pleasure! From engagement photos to wedding reception, Callie did the most beautiful job capturing our love story. I can't wait to share our photos with all our family and friends and to treasure them for a lifetime. We couldn't be happier with our experience with Callie!!
I absolutely loved having Callie as our photographer! She made sure my wedding day was stress free when it came to the pictures, and she's very friendly and professional about her work, and she makes you feel like family when you're with her. She even made my husband who hates being in pictures (I'm sure a lot of brides can relate) look natural and carefree. She was able to make them fun and enjoyable. Plus she know all the amazing spots to take beautiful photos and she's got an amazing eye for the different types of lighting and effects that work well with the landscape. Just don't be afraid brides to get your heels and dresses dirty because the photos and memories will be absolutely worth the hikes!!
Callie made us PHOTOGENIC! She was willing to drive hours to meet us while we spent my 25th birthday camping and hiking in Colorado. Even with a dog she was able to capture beautiful pictures that looked so natural and in the moment. She also photographed us on my birthday so it was extra special! I highly recommend her for any and all occasions!
Callie was super flexible the day of and was truly the MVP on our wedding day. Coors is such a large venue, getting to places took some time and when I changed my mind on what I wanted, she was more than accommodating. She captured moments (like mom and dad getting emotional) that I can relive when I was so in the moment of getting married. Would not change who we chose to photograph our wedding
Callie is always willing to go the extra mile to get the PERFECT shot. From stepping into an ice cold lake at 4am to hiking over 12,000 feet at sunset. Simply the best!
Callie is so down to earth that she made our engagement and wedding sessions feel so natural and fun. We felt that we not only walked away with one of a kind, beautiful pictures but a new friend!

Callie is the hardest working, fun, young, entrepreneur I have ever met. She was able to fit in our engagement session around her crazy wedding season (because we were only in town for 2 weeks) AND made sure we had the best chance at beautiful weather. Callie is absolutely amazing! She captured every little detail of our wedding. Very easygoing and creative and that’s exactly what we were looking for in a photographer. Our photos were returned in a timely fashion and she gave us more edited photos than most photographers! Even though she is based out of Colorado and we are in Florida, I would pay for her services over paying for someone local! Thanks again Callie for making our wedding a memorable one!
